My mom has always been a good dresser ever since I can remember. I can remember my friends back in high school and how they would comment on my mom’s clothes and how trendy yet classy she looked on them. Aside from that, she also knows when to wear the right type of jewelry all the time. She always wears something simple but she ends up looking very fabulous afterwards.

When you raid your closet it’s like you’re raiding the closet of a movie star. Her clothes are not that plenty but you can find a mixture of trendy and classic pieces in there. Her jewelry box is also the same. That’s why on her last birthday, I gave her something that I am sure she can add to her wardrobe collection. It’s a set of colorful scarves and also CZ hoop earrings. She loved them very much and I am happy that she liked them.

I read somewhere that the earrings are to a woman as the chandelier is to the home. It is the final touch that defines elegance. Earrings vary in design ranging from the simple stud to a shining, shimmering piece that dangles almost to the shoulder of the wearer. The kind of earring worn by a person is defined by the personality and the occasion. A female will usually start wearing a stud as a young child.

Adults who continue to wear studs have a passive way of expressing fashion. They don’t feel the need to draw attention to themselves. This is not saying that they lack confidence. There are, on the other hand, women who love to wear large earrings. Those who wear large teardrop earrings are asking for attention. They are more aware of the mundane facets of life.

I will be hosting a birthday dinner for family and friends this week. Since it is my 30th birthday, it is a special milestone for me and I would want to celebrate it with a bang. After all, this age does only come once and I would have to make the most out of it. My friend had helped me set up the party, along with inviting all the people who mean the most to me.

For the event, I would be wearing a simple white dress to accentuate the zirconia stud earrings which my father had given me early last week. Since he knows I am quite busy these days with the planning, he wanted to hand out his gift ahead of the rest. I will also be wearing the antique ring which my mother had passed on to me to complete my look. The only thing I would need right now are wonderful shoes and a date for the dinner!

There are many accessories which one can make use of in order to improve and enhance their look. Many fail to realize the importance of these accessories in the day to day wear of individuals. Ladies with an oval face shape are lucky in that they can wear practically any style of earring and it will look flattering. But others need to be a bit more discriminating. If your face is long or rectangular in nature, stick to a pair of glamorous stud earrings. Avoid hoops as they will only make your features look more elongated. Birthstones lend a little substance to any woman’s style.

Our beaded bead necklace, bracelet and earrings are almost completed. The pink and green set is very pretty. It is looks very delicate and dainty. This was a team effort. Frank created the crystal-beaded bead that looks like a bead ball, then handed it over to me to weave the seed beads onto it.

Frank also created three large bead balls (the first part of the beaded bead) in 8mm green Swarovski crystals then strung it together with a green crystal right angle weave. This created a stunning necklace.

I finished the pink and green set and also made the emerald set to go with the emerald right angle bracelet. I liked these so much I made a second set , the same size as the pink and green but these are sapphire and crystal in color and style.

Frank just finished a new flat right angle weave bracelet for my mother. It is made from pearls instead of crystals. As you know, Frank makes a right angle bracelet made of Swarovski crystals that is round when finished. This bracelet remains “unfinished” in order to leave it flat instead of rounded. My mother saw the black and white crystal flat right angle weave bracelet and loved it, but wanted it in cream and brown, so we found cream and brown Swarovski pearls. The brown and cream 4mm Swarovski pearls make a beautiful combination when alternated in one-inch lengths. This bracelet will be beautiful with anything cream or brown. I just might have to have one myself .

After Sheri wrote the blog I finished the bracelet for her mother. She loved it. I then made her a matching pair of earrings and a single strand necklace to complete the set. Yes Sheri wanted a set and I made her a similar set the earrings for Sheri where hoops not dangle and the necklace was 8mm not 6mm. Both are happy.
