The rosary is designed as a tool for meditation. If you don’t say Catholic rosary prayers with sincerity, the recitation of prayers would be pointless. You have to meditate on the various prayers and their corresponding themes. The purpose of the rosary is to contemplate certain times that were significant in the life of Jesus through His mother’s eyes.
The rosary prayer has four sets of mysteries. Each set is based on a theme and each of the mysteries is prayed on certain days of the week. You recite a decade set of prayers which starts with the Our Father prayer, followed by 10 Hair Marys, and one Glory Be. Each prayer is said on individual beads.
